NTN presents 2018 ツアー・オブ・ジャパン

2008年に発足した日本を代表する地域密着型チームは10年目の節目を迎える。2017年のUCIアジアツアーランキングは9位。長年チームを引っ張ってきたエースの増田成幸選手は今年のツール・ド・とちぎで総合3位に入り難病からの復活を遂げた。一方、近年は若手の台頭が著しく、昨シーズンはナショナルチームのメンバーとして、多くの選手がツール・ド・ラヴニールをはじめとしたネイションズカップに挑戦。生え抜きの選手である、地元出身の小野寺玲選手は2年連続でアジアチャンピオンのタイトルを獲得し、同じく地元出身の雨澤毅明選手は、国内最高クラスの2017年ジャパンカップサイクルロードレースに於いて見事3位表彰台を獲得した。また、レース活動だけでなく、様々な地域貢献活動や社会貢献活動、イベントやレース運営なども行っており、そのチームバリューは年々向上している。

The team enters its 10th season since its establishment in 2008 as a country’s leader for local-friendly teams. In 2017 the team finished 9th in UCI Asia Tour Ranking. This season, the team’s leading rider Nariyuki MASUDA came back from the intractable disease, placing 3rd in overall for Tour de Tochigi. At the same time many young riders are showing their talent, challenging Nations Cups such as Tour de l'Avenir taking part of national team. Local based Rei ONODERA has won the Asian Champion title two years in a row, while also the local based Takeaki AMEZAWA finished 3rd in the country’s top category event 2017 Japan Cup Cycle Road Race. Their purpose is not only the race results, but the dedication in activity for local community and social contribution, event and race management which is developing their team values.
