NTN presents 2018 ツアー・オブ・ジャパン

ブリヂストンサイクル株式会社を母体とする創設1964年の名門チームが、今季からチーム名を変更し、更にメンバーも刷新して新たな体制でスタートを切った。これまではロードレースをメインに活動してきた同チームだが、東京五輪でのメダル獲得を目標に、トライアスロン、トラックレース、パラトライアスロン、パラサイクリングなどが新たに加わった。また、活動拠点を静岡県三島市に新設し、東京五輪の自転車競技会場となる静岡県を盛り上げるための地域貢献活動にも力を入れていく。チームを引っ張るのは、リオ五輪日本代表で元全日本ロードチャンピオンの窪木一茂選手。また、トラックレースのメダリストを揃えた強力な“BSトレイン”から、スプリンターの大久保陣選手がステージ優勝を狙って飛び出す展開にも注目が集まる。

Established in 1964, the team managed by Bridgestone Cycle has just stepped onto their new stage altering their team name and team organization. Aiming for medals in Tokyo 2020, the team invests not only in road race but also in triathlon, track race, para-triathlon, and para-cycling. With this movement, the team changed their base to Mishima City, Shizuoka, in order to focus in contribution for local community where the Olympic and Paralympic venues will be located. Team will be lead by Kazushige KUBOKI, the Rio Olympian and former national road champion, and with few other track race medalists in the squad, we should keep an eye out for how the “BS Sprint Train” will launch their sprinter Jin OKUBO for a stage victory.
