2017年も世界最高峰のUCIワールドチームがツアー・オブ・ジャパンに登場！実に11カ国もの選手が所属する国際色豊かな中東初のトップチームには、ジロ、ツール、ブエルタと、全てのグランツールを制しているイタリアの英雄、ヴィンチェンツォ・ニバリ選手（イタリア）や、2016年のツアー・オブ・ジャパン伊豆ステージを制した日本のスター、新城幸也選手など、数多くのトップ選手が在籍している。一方で、将来有望な若手選手も多く所属しており、若手の登竜門としておなじみのツアー・オブ・ジャパンに於いて、次世代のスター選手がその才能を開花させるかもしれない。

UCI World Team is coming to Tour of Japan again this year! Being the first top team from the middle east, riders from 11 different countries are registered for Bahrain-Merida including the top riders such as an Italian hero Vincenzo Nibali who conquered all three “Grand Tours”: Tour de France, Giro d'Italia and Vuelta a España, and a Japanese star Yukiya Arashiro (Japan) who won the Izu Stage in 2016 Tour of Japan. Meanwhile, many youthful and talented riders also belongs to this team, which grows our expectation to see the future top riders to show their potentiality through the race.
