ブリヂストンアンカーサイクリングチーム

チーム創設は1964年という伝統あるチーム。ここ数年は、トマ・ルバ選手（フランス）とダミアン・モニエ選手（フランス）という二人のフレンチライダーが強力にチームをリード。ツアー・オブ・ジャパンでも総合優勝争いを演じている。また、日本人選手としてはリオ五輪のロードレース日本代表候補に選出された内間康平選手に注目。チームを率いて4年目となる水谷壮宏監督は、今季の第1目標がツアー・オブ・ジャパンでの総合優勝であると明言。2013年大会で日本人最上位となる総合6位のリザルトを残した西薗良太選手の走りにも期待がかかる。

A team with long tradition established in 1964. In the past few years, two French riders Thomas Lebas (France) and Damien Monier (France) have been leading the team. They are expected to compete in the finals for the championship in the Tour of Japan. Again, Kohei Uchima who was selected as a member of the Japanese national team competing in the Rio Olympics gathers attention. Coach Takehiro Mizutani, entering his 4th year as the coach of the team, states that this season’s first goal is to win the overall championship of Tour of Japan. Expectation rises for Ryota Nishizono who had recorded Japan’s highest ranking of 6th place in the 2013 race.
