Anthony GICOPPO regained Green Jersey by the 2nd win.
Day 3 of Tour of Japan comes to Mino City, Gifu Prefecture.
The circuit has 21.3km per lap and the riders run six and a half, making 139.4km total.
It is quite wide and flat course with King of Mountain point of only 80m elevation gap.
The course design is good for sprinters and quite opposite style to Kyoto Stage yesterday.
Mino city is famous for the Important Preservation Districts for Groups of Historic Buildings in the center of the city, called “UDATSU” roofing.
The peloton started the parade run at UDATSU area and finished at the Mino Washi Japanese Traditional Paper Museum.
Mino Washi, craftsmanship of traditional Japanese hand-made paper has been designated as Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO.
Another beautiful weather attracted 26,000 spectators to watch the race.
The 91 peloton started in front of the Old Premises of Imai Family residence and run along Nagara River and Itadori River.
Three Australian riders broke away from the peloton in the beginning and made three minutes and thirty seconds time gap. NIPPO – VINI FANTINI led the peloton and caught the break in the last seven kilometers.
Anthony GIACOPPO (AVANTI ISOWHEY SPORT) won bunch sprint of some 70 riders.
This is his second win after Stage 1 Sakai and regained the Green Jersey Wearer.
At the post race press conference, he said “We knew today’s race would be a bunch sprint, so that we made other teams ride and it worked perfectly in the end.
I have not really looked into the tomorrow’s course yet, but think it will be another tough day. Hopefully we will have another win.”

第3ステージ美濃
「アンソニー・ジャコッポが大会2勝目でリーダーに返り咲く」
ツアー・オブ・ジャパン3日目第3ステージは美濃。
岐阜県美濃市での1周21.3kmを6周半する139.4kmで、標高差80mほどのやや急な山岳ポイントがあるがほかは道幅の広い平坦な道路。前日の京都とは正反対なレイアウトでスプリンター向きのコース。
美濃市は国指定重要伝統的建造物群保存地区が中心部にあり、うだつの上がる町並みとして有名。ここがセレモニーランのスタート地点で、もう一つの国指定が本美濃紙（和紙）で、この和紙の里会館がフィニッシュ地点。
朝から好天に恵まれ2万6000人の観客を集めた。
旧今井家住宅前をスタートした91名の選手は長良川や板取川沿いのコースを周回。
序盤に3名の逃げが決まりメイン集団に最大3分30秒のタイム差をつける。
メイン集団もリーダーチームのNIPPO・ヴィーニファンティーニを中心に追い上げラスト7kmで逃げを吸収。
フィニッシュ地点まで大集団で進み、約70名のスプリント勝負をアンソニー・ジャコッポ（アヴァンティ アイソウェイスポーツ）が制した。
ジャコッポは第1ステージ堺でも勝利しており、これで大会2勝目を挙げ同時に個人総合時間でリーダーに返り咲いた。
「このコースは何度も走っており予想通りのスピードレースになりました。そこで勝ててうれしいです。明日はもっとハードなレースになると思いますが狙いたいと思っています」とジャコッポはコメントした。
